HI:
To get this started here is my post: I boat in the 1000 island near Alex Bay.  I usually go south to Grindstone Island the loop around into Canadian Waters and head north looping Wellesely Island and head back to the marina.  About 2 hours leisurely pace.

And I cannot wait for the season to start.

Out of curiosity, are there any 'Homeland Security' issues in going into Canadian water and back?  I vaguely remember reading a thread a while ago on boaters having to get 'paper work' to boat between US and CA.

You don't need any "Paper work" unless you actually go ashore. We go between the US and Canada all the time, but we have Nexus cards that allow us just to phone in by cell phone or pick up the phone in ABay. The is also a phone on Blockhouse Island in Brockville that contacts the Canadian Customs. There is really no grief going back and forth if all is on the up & up.

I just brought our boat up to the River from Boston and ready for an other great Summer.   We have a summer house at Point Vivian in A-Bay.   We took our boat out and "typical loop cruise" of going  south to Grindstone Island the loop around into Canadian Waters and head north looping Wellesely Island and head back.
We have a few good friends who are Coast Guard also others are Border Patrols, they are recommending every motorized vessels over 15’ to fly a flag of country of registration of the boat…   Some what it makes sense but they are clearly not enforcing…. Although it made me an excuse to purchase a nice shinny flag pole to our boat   Smiley
See you in Water.
